It appears SummatimeNYC has caught the attention of Brooklyn rap sensation, Casanova.

On April 12, 2020, the “Set Trippin” rapper dropped an instagram post from his user account @casanova_2x advertising his latest project, “Who Got Next”. The project appears to be some type of platform for locating and boosting upcoming rappers in the industry.

Casanova is certainly giving back to his rap community in an incredible way.

This project comes just one month after SummatimeNYC presented their brand new open mic series of the same name. This open mic series is hosted by celebrity hairstylist, Alaya Ayala (@hairstylesbyher_ on instagram) who has styled celebrities like Cardi-B’s younger sister, Hennessy Carolina. The open mic series also features music by upcoming Harlem rapper and DJ, Showalter (@_showalter_ on instagram), who recently dropped his latest project ‘Ghoulish Grin EP’ last month, you can check that out here.

The open mic series targets upcoming, independent artists (with a focus on rappers) in search of an event-based platform to promote their music and artistry, all while inheriting a community.

The open mic series has featured rising artists coming out from NYC such as: Brooklyn rapper, Chuck Samet (@papigrande_t on instagram) who currently has over 15,000 streams and a combined 1,200 monthly listeners and followers on Spotify, check out his latest single ‘#DearSumma’ here; Brooklyn rapper, Rah Righteous (@rahrighteous on instagram) who recently dropped his latest project ‘Bonnie’, check that out here; and the Brooklyn rapper Dze Cloude (@dzecloude on instagram) who just dropped his latest video, ‘Break’ in March.

As of recently, Casanova has made headlines for opening an OnlyFans account, a popular platform for exhibitionists who want to get PAID, and for having his latest video shoot get shut down due to COVID-19 back in late March.

Considering the Flatbush rapper did plagiarize from Alaya & SummatimeNYC, it seems only fair that he rectify the matter by incorporating all the artists from the open mic series into his latest project.

Until then, Casanova, YOU AIN’T GOT NO BEV!
